Viña Real Crianza

This wine was produced from hand harvested grapes from the Rioja Alavesa region and made at Viña Real.

De-stemmed grapes were transferred to stainless steel vats with temperature control for the alcoholic fermentation. Following completion of the malolactic fermentation, the wine was transferred to French and American oak barrels where it aged for 13 to 14 months. During this time the wine developed the aromatic balance, elegance and overall expression which characterises Viña Real Plata.

This wine shows shades of medium to deep shiny cherry colour on a purple background. To the nose, intense aromas of ripe fruits (blackberries, blackcurrants. To the palate, it shows structured and round. The aftertaste is marked by very well balanced tannins as well as by persistent spicy, toasty and balsamic aromas.
