Maruxa Godello
Maruxa Godello comes from terraced vineyards in Éntoma, with slate and clay soils. It is made with manual harvest, cold maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeast, followed by 3 months aging on lees in stainless steel tanks. It is an intense yellow wine, with aromas of ripe white fruit and mineral notes, silky and balanced in the mouth, ideal for pairing with fish, seafood and rice dishes.
Characteristics of the vineyard
The grapes used for the production of Maruxa Godello come from our terraced vineyards in the village of Éntoma, from the plots of Regueirón, O Follo, Valdemioto, Granilla, as well as local suppliers in the same village. We harvest the grapes ourselves from these suppliers.
This is the southernmost area of Valdeorras, close to the Galir and Sil rivers. The soil located in the Val do Galir is purely slatey and south facing, good ripening due to the solar effect of the soil on the vine; however, the soils near the Sil are more clayey, with boulders and north facing, later ripening, floral and sharp.
