Finca Vallejo Rueda
Finca Vallejo Rueda is a Verdejo wine made with grapes from vineyards located at an altitude of 720 m above sea level in sandy and clay soils. The 2023 vintage, marked by drought and high temperatures, began on September 20, resulting in a fresh and balanced wine. With controlled fermentation in stainless steel, it stands out for its fruity and citrus aromas, and a vibrant and persistent palate.
Characteristics of the vineyard
Verdejo variety selected in the field from our best vineyards located in the municipalities of Rueda, La Seca and Alaejos.
With a night harvest we ensure that the grapes arrive at the winery in the best quality conditions.
Winemaking characteristics
The grapes are pressed in a gentle and very controlled way to avoid undesired extractions. The must obtained is taken to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures.
We seek at all times to promote and preserve the primary aromas typical of the variety.
Harvest data
The 2023 harvest begins on August 15 and ends on October 5 with a lower production.
The grapes are harvested at night to preserve the grapes in perfect organoleptic conditions and avoid oxidation.
The climatic conditions, with very hot weather in August and heavy rainfall in early September, have allowed the grapes to ripen correctly and are in optimum sanitary condition.
Tasting notes
Pale yellow-greenish color.
Good aromatic intensity where we discover fruits such as mango, peach and grapefruit mixed with spicy and herbaceous notes.
The entry on the palate is enveloping, with an elegant passage and a very balanced finish between acidity and bitterness typical of the variety. The aftertaste is long and fruity.
A perfect accompaniment to white meats, fish, seafood, pâtés and, of course, as an aperitif.
Recommended serving temperature 8 to 10ºC.
