LA VAL Finca Arantei Albariño
La Val Finca Arantei is a single varietal Albariño made from selected grapes from the Arantei estate, with pebble soils and optimal sun exposure. It is made with cold maceration, fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aged for 6 months on fine lees. It offers a complex and mineral nose and an intense and fresh mouthfeel, ideal with seafood, fish and fresh cheeses.
Characteristics of the vineyard
Single varietal Albariño from a selection of the best grapes from our Arantei Estate (35 ha) planted in 1989. Magnificent example of vineyard of payment, on old riverbed where the boulder is the essence of a mineral and fertile soil and the most generous sun of all Rías Baixas.
Winemaking characteristics
Manual selection of clusters from the best plots in the vineyard. Cold maceration of 100% of the grapes to extract all their richness during 6 hours and at a controlled temperature of 8 ºC. By adding a "pie de cuba", the musts are fermented with native yeasts from the vineyard in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is devatted and remains in contact with its fine lees for 6 months with continuous stirring.
Tasting notes
Clean, bright yellow and greenish glints. Complex nose, mineral, fruity, floral, full of fresh herbs and citrus notes in pleasant harmony. Intense and fruity in the mouth, with good acidity rounded by the creaminess of its aging on lees. Long and persistent, with a finish full of freshness. Perfect with seafood and more elaborate fish, it goes well with fresh cheeses, foie and white meats, and is suitable for all types of pasta and rice dishes. It is recommended to drink at 12 ºC.
