Grapes for Bela Crianza were sourced and carefully selected from our vineyards in Villalba de Duero, which sit at more than 800m altitude. The soils are calcareous clay and sandy loam and the climatic influence here is continental, combining to provide good conditions for making crianza style wines.
The grapes are hand harvested and the wine making process is traditional, with pre-fermentation cold maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 months in American and French, new and one-year old oak barrels. Once bottled, it is kept in the cellars for a minimum of six months prior to being released to the market.
