10 months new French oak. Soils are a combination of sand and limestone as well as clay. Mandiles is undoubtedly the protagonist vineyard of Estrecho de Marín, it is like the wise old man who knows how to overcome any situation that comes his way in life. When it was planted, 65 years ago, it was planted with its roots facing north, so that the roots would always have the shade of its shoots and thus be able to survive so many years with so little humidity. Sinking its roots to draw moisture from deep within and surviving hail, pests and bad practices. This is Mandiles, a wine with character, but with the tenderness of an old person, delicate, fresh, mineral, with great harmony in the mouth. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, and ageing for 10 months in the same barrels. Contains sulphites.
